TCU is the largest of 15 colleges and universities associated with The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), a denomination with Presbyterian and Baptist roots and one born out of the American restoration movement of the 1800’s. Among their beliefs, the Disciples have always held that education and the search for knowledge deepens faith, enriches life and serves the greater good. Today that’s still seen throughout campus and in the nine-point covenant that guides the relationships between Disciples and all its higher education institutions.
